DESCRIPTION
This banner is made up international maritime signal flags, A-Z. Each flag means a letter of the alphabet and represent codes used for communication with other ships or boats. These flags are a custom hand-drawn representation with fabric made specifically for this garland.
The garland measures 11.7 feet (3.5 m) from the A flag to the Z flag, the entire garland string length is 13 feet. (4 m) long. Each pennant measures 4.5 inches (11.43 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide. The flags are double sided, folded over across the top and sewn to jute twine at about 2 inches (5 cm) apart. The flags are sewn together on all four sides.
